Can patients respond to the appointment notification text?
Yes, patients can reply with ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to indicate their interest in the appointment.
What happens if a patient misses the notification text?
If a patient misses the notification, they will remain on the waitlist for future openings.
Will the patient be notified if the appointment is filled by someone else?
Yes, the patient will receive a text informing you that the appointment has been filled.
How does Loma ensure appointment preferences are met?
Loma matches openings based on criteria set by your office, such as provider and duration.
How do I create a Loma account?
Set up an account at office.getloma.com. (You will need a credit card number to create your account).
Does Loma integrate into my practice management software?
No. Loma knows that most dental offices like to be in control of their schedule. You will be entering the patients you want to add into Loma.
How does the patient get notified of an opening?
They will receive a text message. The patient can either reply with a “Y” to accept or “N” if they cannot make it. The words “yes” and “no” will work as well. They can also click “view appointment information” which will take them to another page where they can “confirm availability” or click “I’m not available”.
How will my patient know that they received the appointment?
Once you choose the patient to fill the opening, they will receive a text message stating that they have been confirmed for the dental cleaning. The other patients will receive a message that the opening is no longer available and that they will be notified of the next opening.

Beyond her clinical work, Cerise has led community health initiatives from Alaska to California and volunteered on medical missions abroad. She is a natural problem-solver and people-person, passionate about making healthcare more humane and accessible.
Outside of caring for patients and leading Loma, Cerise enjoys spending time outdoors with her five children and pets, Jubal and Trixie, all while remaining deeply committed to helping others live healthier, fuller lives.
